Introduction to Community Gardening
Community 2000 introduces the concept of a community garden
This initiative is rooted in the collective effort of individuals who come together to transform a public space into a thriving green haven.
The essence of this garden lies in its democratic foundation, every decision, from the types of vegetables planted to the installation of a community fridge,
is driven by the community's desires.
It's a movement sparked by the citizens themselves, ensuring the garden truly reflects the will of its caretakers.
Collective Decision-Making
In Community 2000, every plant sown and every facility installed is a testament to the community's collective will.
This project is a beacon of participatory decision-making, where the members have full autonomy over the garden's content.
Shaping Spaces
The character and structure of the community garden are sculpted by the hands and hearts of its active members.
Their needs and desires guide the transformation of this space, turning it into a hub of community activity and engagement.
The Observation Post in “Hachurshot” Park
The chosen site for this visionary project is an observation post. This wooden hut, with its expansive peepholes,
offers a unique vantage point over a wildlife garden and an artificial ecological pool.
It's a sanctuary where the urban meets the natural,
attracting diverse species of birds and fostering a connection with the wild.
Sim City 2000: Digital Twin of the Community Garden
ICommunity 2000 merges the physical with the digital through an app based on "Sim City 2000's" game infrastructure.
This digital twin mirrors the physical site, offering a grid-like representation where each square meter of the observation post is replicated.
The app becomes a dynamic platform for community interaction, idea sharing, and the management of the garden, ensuring everyone's voice is heard.
Engaging in Special Projects
Community 2000 is alive with possibilities, from installing binoculars for bird watching to initiating projects that reintroduce native species.
It offers a canvas for educational activities aimed at neighborhood children, enriching their connection with nature.
The management of the space is a communal effort, emphasizing order, cleanliness, and the wellbeing of its fauna.
Leveraging Data for Sustainability
Community 2000 is also a model of sustainable management.
Through the collection of real-time data by community members, the project gains insights into the effective stewardship of the space.
This data-driven approach informs decisions on resource allocation, enhancing the garden's impact and longevity.
